Walking with Dinosaurs
Yesterday we took the train into New York to see Walking with Dinosaurs. I won tickets and backstage passes at the NJ Moms Blog. Here are photo highlights with witty captons:
Peter modeling T shirt. Susan marvels at lovely New Jersey scenery (lots of yucky looking buildings with graffiti).
Edmund working the room, flirting with the teen girls behind us.
I have no idea who this guy is, but I took him home with me, ’cause he’s so darn cute.
Darn. This wouldn’t made a decent Twitter avatar if not for the blur.
Waiting for the show. We were in the top section, almost in the last row. At first I thought we wouldn’t have a good view. Boy, was I wrong. The dinos were so life-like, all the seats were good. (My apologies to the little boy sitting in front of Edmund, a boy-who-loves-to-kick-the-seat-in-front-of-him).
This is the money shot, don’t you think? Too bad Lucy didn’t come or we would use it as our Christmas card. Doc suggested we Photoshop her into the allosaurus’ mouth, so it may work yet. I tried getting a good picture during the show, but my camera wasn’t up for the challenge. I did notice the gal right in front of me got awesome pictures with her point and shoot. Me thinks I need a new camera.
Me, playing the part. I always loved those Godzilla movies.

Oh, my kids would LOVE this! Is it an ongoing thing in NYC? Or is it only for a limited time? Love the pictures. I think the family picture is great just as it is. Shows any true tween/teen girl.

Jen, your comment got sucked into the spam filter, almost deleted. Be careful when you add that link in your signature.
To answer your question: the dinos are gone now. But maybe the show will come back sometime.
(and I need to add my toddler to the picture. yeah, that’s the tween face on my big girl, isn’t it? Her little sis would have smiled big, but I thought the show might be too scary for her).

Hi, I was searching around info on this show, as I am taking my niece and 2 nephews, my sister and my parents to see the show, sadly I didnt think my oldest nephews would like it and didnt get them tickets, which makes me feel bad, so I at least wanted to take some pics to show them but the place we are seeing them at say that the show does not allow cameras, i wondered how did you get the pictures? Did your show allow cameras? Did you sneak it in? Any advice to sneak in cameras? We will be seeing this, this sunday the kids are very excited.

Hi, Jess.
Yes, they allowed cameras, but no flash photography. I won backstage passes, that’s how we got the up close pictures. Have a great time! The dinos are very realistic.
