I’m not afraid of death
Doc isn’t in the hospital, I’m thankful to God for that, but the hubs isn’t out of the woods yet.
Get it? Woods. Like when you go camping in the woods (which we will not be doing this weekend, not surprisingly).
All this craziness with infection, back and forth to the doctor and hospital, really makes a girl stop and think. It’s easy to take good health for granted as if it’s rock solid. Only Christ is the Rock. Our measly, mortal bodies subject to bacteria, illness and ultimately death.
I’m not afraid of death. Doc isn’t either. We stand on the Rock.
Are you afraid of death today? Through Jesus, you don’t have to be.
Biblegateway.com is a fab resource with topical keyword search and different translations. I use it specificly when I’m looking for a certain verse. Of course, you can’t beat a paper Bible for devotional reading, a book you can hold in your hands. And if per chance, you want a Bible, and don’t have the monetary means to purchase one, let me know. It won’t be leather with all the fancy extras, but it’ll get the job done.

Then you too can learn how not to fear death.

Oh, hope all is well.
It’s funny: I can honestly say I don’t fear death. I know it’s just the passage to what He has waiting for me.
I do fear the thought of my children growing up without their mother; can’t lie to you on that one. It’s heartbreaking to consider.
Take care and be well!

Marianne, that’s another post entirely.
That scares me too. I think those fears just come with being a mom and we’ll have to keep trusting the Lord.
