Seen and heard

Second born and the youngest in the kitchen. He’s got her in a Rubbermaid box, pushing her around like a race car. She’s not sure she likes it. The boy plays on.

Computer down the hall. Clicks, bleeps and whatnots from a game I have no idea how to play, so don’t ask me for help, okay? Ask your older brother.

Legos scattered outside the bedroom. Little plastic men with piles of tiny plastic bricks in the hands of a capable girl. Play on, girl.

Hanging out in the kitchen thinking chicken and brocolli stir fry for dinner. Toddler now on my lap watching me type. Dell cranking out the tunes. Play on, Dell, play on.
